For the “Bad Romance” number Chris spilled that, “We all had different Gaga outfits and mine was kind of based on the Alexander McQueen outfit that she wears in (the video).” As you’ll recall, she is wearing some sky-high stilettos in the video and Chris soon realized it’s tough in more than one way to fill Gaga’s shoes.

“I had to walk around in huge ten-inch heels,” he recalled. “That was quite an experience having to sing and dance in big platform shoes. It was a little dangerous, actually, they’re kind of like stilts. I don’t know how she does it!”

When Chris sat down with MTV News last week he talked more about his time in platforms and the lessons he learned. “I’ve learned that walking around in ten-inch heels is not comfortable,” he said, adding, “I’ve gained lots of balance, I’ll say that. You really have no choice but to have balance when you’re walking around in those.”

In the end, Chris said he happily embraced the distinction that the Gaga wardrobe brought him. “From the beginning I’ve had to wear so many ridiculous things that when they told me [about this costume], I was like ‘alright, sure, why not?’ It’s fun to be dressed insane.”
